The Blind Boys Academy at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama in Narendrapur, Kolkata, is one of India’s most respected institutions for the education and rehabilitation of visually impaired children. Founded on the principles of service and self-reliance, the academy provides comprehensive support to children from underprivileged backgrounds who might otherwise have no access to education.
The academy offers a full academic curriculum alongside specialised training in Braille, mobility, computer skills, music, and vocational trades. The goal is not just education — it’s independence.
